VIDEO TRANSCRIPTION – Why Become a Certified Qigong Instructor

Hi, guys. David J. Coon with Qigong Awareness. I’ve recently been asked the question, “Why should I becoming a qigong instructor? What are some of the benefits of becoming certified to become a qigong instructor?” So number one is your own practice. If you become a certified qigong instructor, in that endeavor, guess what you need to do? You actually need to practice.

If you are a massage therapist or an acupuncturist, our organization, Qigong Awareness, can actually provide you continuing education credits while you’re actually learning the qigong practice. And if you are interested in being a medical qigong practitioner, where you actually take your energy, some of it, and your healing abilities and you bring that into your practice like massage or into your acupuncture practice and you’re also adding qi to that type of practice, it’s going to increase the marketability of your business. And if you’re also teaching qigong classes, it’s a great way to attract new clients.

But having said that, if you’re just interested in teaching qigong itself, the YMCA is looking, the local community is looking, because qigong is literally becoming the new yoga, and you’re going to start seeing it being offered more and more and more. Yoga is now offered in business offices, it’s offered in, again, the YMCA, the park, there’s seminars being done, et cetera. It is a way for you to make money, have your cake and eat it too, because you do your training in qigong and then you can actually get paid to go and teach, and then you can actually go and write off your seminars on your taxes and so on and get your CEUs if that’s what you need. And learn all of that, and it becomes a benefit for you and it becomes a benefit for others simultaneously.

So the number one benefit for me that I would share with you of becoming a certified qigong instructor is that you will more likely have the time to practice, because you’ll get paid to do it. Thanks for tuning in. For more about our instructor training program, go to Thanks, guys.
