I participated in the “The Golden Dragon Medical Qi Gong Intensive with David this last weekend in Clearwater/St. Pete. It was a very transformative experience for me. David is a “True Master of Qigong” that has the desire to fully engage his students, taking a very personal interest in the development of each and every one. He is a gifted instructor with a thorough understanding of Qigong and the Martial Arts from many paths.
This weekend was very different; I have attended other Qigong seminars in the past. They left me disenchanted, overwhelmed and totally frustrated. I left these weekends without retaining anything from the class except a paper certificate stating that I had fulfilled my CEU requirements for yet another year.
David’s class brought me to a new level; “that I have the power to transform myself and become a healing channel through this practice.”
I realize; to appreciate the power of Qigong; it is an art that must be practiced daily to fully achieve success. David communicated the Qigong exercises and concepts in a way that I could understand and integrate the practice into my life and work. The way he led the class through the various exercises were clear and concise. The sessions were timed, organized and well balanced between informative experiential lectures and “hands-on” practical experience, reminding me that true Qigong is more than a technique or modality, it is a gift! David repeatedly expressed to “feel” the Qi; not just apply yet “another technique”. Techniques while very important; “without feeling the Qi you were an empty vessel; holding a needle.”
He truly left me inspired, with a desire to pursue a Qigong path. This has been one of the best programs I have attended as a continuing education seminar. The class should be mandatory for every student of acupuncture and life. It is a fulfilling experience; I honestly recommend his medical intensive for everyone to attend. I look forward to future workshops and continued practice.
